Hi all,

Just a quick question really. I use the Now TV and Wuaki.TV apps on my Note 2. When I am on stock firmware, kernel and recovery and not rooted, they work fine. But when I am rooted or on a custom rom, they don't work. I know this is because I am rooted/modded (because the app makers indicated they check for root access), but is there a way around it???

Thanks

As far as I know, there isn't a way around it if the app devs make it so that the app doesn't work with root access. The only other option is to download an app that allows it.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

I tried ota rootkeeper, but that didn't work :-( I'll have to stick with stock and no root then.. Thanks for your reply!

Before you do that, have you tried to deny SU access to those apps?

They don't ask for root, they somehow check if you're rooted. I believe they either check system xbin su or they execute the su command. Ota rootkeeper is supposed to hide the xbin su so I'm not sure what else to try..
