I used Rom Manager to backup the rom and I don't have the paid version, but it still let me pick what I wanted to name the backup. I have a quick question, I read a long thread about backing up files, but still am unsure on a few things.
Since I have made this backup of the current rom - can I remove the bloatware now, and if I need it later - I can just reflash to this backup of the ROM for it for an OTA update? I see some people save the bloatware in case they need it again, not sure why I would need it. If I am using ROMs or root, though, I wonder why I would care because I thought people generally manually do their own updates. I also read something that infers maybe you should remove the bloatware before installing any ROMS. I am wondering if people just do that just because (for more room) since I thought a ROM basically won't have anything to do with the rooted phone itself, but basically work on top of it (really not sure about that). Just trying to see what I really should do. I'll keep reading!
