Rooting 2.1 RUU

So I had no idea that HTC took out the availability to SU. I updated to 2.1 to play with it and see any difference in other roms. My question is, do you guys think it will be possible to be able to root after this upgrade? Otherwise i may just have to go to the Sprint store and exchange my phone.

If you ran the official 2.1 ruu,then no there is no way to root it,there is people working on it but don't look like there having any luck.

ya, it was the official. well, the leak before the release, but from what I can see they were the same. i'll probably just call sprint and ask for a replacement, they already offered before, just didn't want to deal with that. thanks for the info.

i installed it from 4shared.com - RUU_Hero_C_Sprint_2.20.651.1_signed_test.exe

So I think I'm out of luck. Should have done more research first.

Yeah there a lot of different versions running around.If/when they get a process it will be posted.
