Rooting and its Effects on Battery Life.

I've been thinking about rooting my new Thunderbolt mostly to debloat it and it occurred to me that it might be able to make the OEM battery life better.

Is this possible while still using the 4G?

I haven't rooted yet, but have been reading a lot of threads under Thunderbolt Rooting, ROMs, and Hacks. I think you would be looking under AOSP ROMs.

AOSP are based on Stock Android. Not as flashy. The debloated ones seem to have they better battery life.
