Hi guys

So im finally deciding to take the plunge and root my handset. Just wondering what the safest way to do it is directly from the handset as i dont own a pc or laptop. Any recommendations?

Cheers

Thanks mate. Seems like doing it from a PC is a little safer. May hold off and look into that option.

Stump also gave me a warning, but it gave me an option to ignore....which I did, and subsequently it rooted itself with that method with zero issues.

I've been rooting my smartphones since Nexus 1. My Verizon Lg G3 is the first phone that I've found no need to immediately root. With Android LP on the horizon why not resist the temptation to root and see what a tweaked Verizon update will offer. While it's not impossible to unroot why go through the hassle?
There will come a time when the Lg G3 will no longer be supported by Verizon. When that happens, rooting would be an excellent option.
It's very possible that you want a "must have" feature that only rooting can provide. If so, ignore my post and continue your quest.
