Rooting Evo 4G with 2.3.3

Hello all, it's nice to know sites like this exist. Yes, I am a rookie on here and have no idea how to root my Evo 4G. I will start by giving you all of the software info.

Android version: 2.3.3
baseband version: 2.15.00.0808
Kernel version: 2.6.35.10-g13578ee
Build number: 4.54.654.1 CL134969 release keys
Software number: 4.54.651.1
Browser version: Webkit/533.1
PRI version: 2.15_003
PRL version: 60683

Unsure what this really means, however, I have a friend who just had their EVO rooted around 3 weeks ago and he had showed me what the EVO was capable of. I live around 4.5 hours away from him and failed to ask how he had done this. Would there be anyone who could help me root?

I also should add the EVO was updated yesterday evening, updated to the new 4.54.651.1.

Try using the search option before posting on the forum. Most of your questions can be answered by doing that. Other wise people won't want to help you because this question has been answered about a million times on here.
