Ill give this a try.

I have a Spreadtrum phone, which I would like to get rooted, so I can disable the annoying shutter sound.
Also, the phone is modded(?), since it doesnt work properly with all Apps. It was cheap, but I was unaware of the consequences.
I have no idea, how to get the information, off what my phone really is, but I can give the information I got.
Even though its probaly false.

Modelnumber: M2
Android Version: 4.04
Softwareversion: MT615_C910_HT_M2_EN_V02

Anyway, I have installed several drivers, but when I run "Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v30" (this is the name of the folder, with the batch file, I use to root), if I get lucky, I get down to "Please look at your device and click RESTORE!".
It doesnt say Restore, all the times I had tried, and seems it never will.

I am no tech "nerd" or specialist, so I cant do advanced stuff, without proper guidance.

Ill give this a week, since I dont want to create a new thread, as this thread is to help people rooting their phone.

I'm trying to decide if rooting is my best bet. I have a Droid Razr MAXX that is laggy/sluggish and is a general pain to use. It's never been modified in any way and I'm thinking that maybe rooting and putting a stock 4.2/4.3 ROM would fix some problems. Am I missing the mark here?

I have an at&t avail (aka zte990) that I had rooted and removed bulk apps, one of them being all of the livewallpaper apks and odex, since I never used them. I bought another phone and set up the Avail phone for my son. I did a factory reset on the phone as an "easy start over" solution. I rooted the phone again. He downloaded a live wallpaper from the play store and we realized that the livewallpaper apks and odexs are still not on there. Can someone tell me how to get them back on there? I have tried simply downloading the needed files and putting them in place via es file explorer but I get the "app not installed" error.
The only other solution I can think of is flashing a stock rom...is this the only solution? If so can someone tell me where to find one
Thanks!

Hi,

I'm new to rooting and unfortunately trying to root on a Mac, which means that there is a lack of complete tutorials from start to finish (at least from the research I've done so far(specifically for my phone))

I have a Motorola Cliq xt and so far all I'm able to do (using 'theunlockr.com" tutorial - How To: Root the Motorola CLIQ XT / Quench - TheUnlockr) is reach step 2 "Install the Android SDK". Using terminal on the mac I put in;

cd /Users/rebekka/Desktop/Moto/adt-bundle-mac-x86_64-20130917/sdk/platform-tools [I THEN PRESS ENTER]
Rebekka's-MacBook:platform-tools rebekka$ ./adb devices
List of devices attached
TA1***55UX device

So I'm pretty sure that isn't my serial number (IMEI) of my cliq xt, and nothing else is physically attached to my mac... so what's this and where is my cliq's serial number?

If anyone knows of a comprehensive tutorial for rooting the motorola cliq xt on a mac, please let me know. And, of course, if anyone can help me with the above mentioned problem that'd be great.

Thanks :)

I have successfully rooted my Galaxy S3. I verified this with Root Checker and also was able to download Titanium Recovery. I then continued by downloading the Cyanogenmod version for my SGH-T999. The next step was for me to boot up to Clockworkmod recovery. That's where the problem persists, I can't boot up to clockworkmod recovery. I did it before when I finsihed with Odin after downloading my SiperSU .zip file but now everytime I press Volume up, center home and the power button it boots up to "Android recovery" and i have done this multiple times now.So I can't backup and restore and I can't boot up the cyanogenmod .zip file on the SD. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Apologies in advance - I posted this elsewhere two weeks ago. 145 views & no replies.

LG Treasure LTE from Tracfone

Has anyone figured out how to root these things?

I've been trying to root this beast since Christmas with no success whatsoever. My previous two Androids (one Samsung and one LG) were no problem, but this one seems beyond me.

First, some particulars:

Make & Model: LG Treasure LTE (LGL51AL) (GSM)
Android Version: 5.1.1 (API 22)
Build Version: LMY47V
Kernel: 3.10.49
Allow non-market apps: Checked (on)
Allow OEM unlock: Checked (on)
Network ID: 310410 (AT&T)

Reasons for root: ability to use Titanium Backup, SetCPU, and SDFix; changing standard font; ability to freeze or get rid of some junkware so that I can free up some storage space. Nothing too fancy.

------------

First I tried the APK version of KingoRoot, which did not work. I tried at least a dozen times with no luck. Error code 0x1129B2 every time.

Then I tried the PC version, which I thought had worked, but, no... I got the message "Root Succeeded", but no SU binary was found. Most of the time it stalls somewhere around "Installing recovery", but when it completes, it still does not work.

KingRoot (APK) failed. It told me it was successful, but, once again, there was no SU binary.

LG One-Click Root 1.3 stalled and did not complete. Tried several times.

Framaroot (?) said the device was patched. No joy.

Another APK, whose name escapes me (Stumproot maybe?), also crapped out.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know. Please!

This used to be our dependably avant-garde establishing guide, which ended up being to be too expansive an endeavor for us to keep up. It was a pleasant attempt, however observing as we just have a couple of Android telephones to test, we couldn't dependably stay up with the latest. Along these lines, we've evacuated the connections to singular establishing guidelines and kept this as a general asset for those of you that need to get into establishing.
