Installing Xposed & optimizing apps......so I have time to kill.

root was simply enough but I cannot get any of the XDA themes to stick

I just rooted mine too using these instructions:

How To Root ANY Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge!

My question now is how do I install Xposed? I can't see how to Reboot the phone into a custom booter?? Holding down volume down and power? IT doesn't boot into the custom boot loader.

Please let me know how you got the next step? I'm used to rooting using ODIN and TWRP, but this didn't use TWRP, this is different...

You can now install Xposed via Flashfire. Unfortunately, TWRP does not work on this method, so, DO NOT TRY, there is a chance that you can Brick your phone from doing that.

Wish I could be of more assistance, but this is the first time I've rooted an Android device and I did not experiment at all. I followed the instructions to the letter, then upon noticing a significant reduction in performance, reflashed a stock ROM

I have a T-Mobile S7 Edge and went back to stock after two weeks for the very same reasons. I loved being rooted but having a fast phone with great battery life is more important to me.
