I have a HSPA Galaxy Nexus running 4.2.1 and am annoyed that I STILL haven't got my 4.3 update ( and I'm not even going to start about no 4.4 :crying: ) So I decided I would like to root it. Since it will be my first time, which is the easiest method to unlock the bootloader, flash a recovery and flash the PAC rom onto it ? In a nutshell - which toolkit is the easiest for rooting my Gnex ?

Thnx for all replies !

Hello,

If you want easy and least amount of hands on work from yourself then yes the toolkits do the job.

If your into learning a few quick codes and expanding your knowledge of Android and some ADB/Fastboot commands from your computer then the manual methods are fun and fairly easy too...

FWIW... I do use the toolkit myself to setup the drivers on my computer.. They are usually a pain in the rear and the toolkits normally make quick work of this for you. Once that is done I take over and do the rest manually because I enjoy doing it.

Good luck, any further questions you know where to find us ;)
