rooting galaxy s4 us cellular schr970 problems

after a day and a half of looking up how to root this particular device it seems like every time i find a decent method something goes awry. i got a couple people saying it has to do with the fact that i did an ota update earlier in the month when i got the phone. any advice? motochopper didnt seem to work i restarted phone computer switched usb cords and ports so not sure

I was wondering how you were able to revert to the original configuration without bricking your phone? I also installed the ota as soon as I got my phone and I don't want to try anything if I don't know how to fix it (if I do mess it up) :-\
