hi all and happy new year
i would really appreciate some help please.
i have recently bought a htc desire hd,running 2.2 android htc sense, and to my horror i have just discovered that the text and fonts are way too small for me to see even with my glasses and there is no way of increasing the size of them with in the phone,. i have discovered that there is many people with the same problem who have suggested installing certain apps ie, like text enlarger ect, which i have downloaded a couple of them to my phone, but they either, install properley but do not actually work or alter anything, or they do not install properley and they crash my phone and i get a perminant "loading" warning comes on the screen, which i then have to do a manual factory reset.
i have been lead to believe that in order for the apps that i require to work on my phone i need to have my phone rooted? if this is the case could you please tell me if there is a very very simple way of doing this? or is there any such places that i can take it to have it done? also will this mean that the operating system that is currently installed on my phone be wiped off and replaced by another operating system? or does it mean that my existing operating system just gets made to be "open" to alterations and new commands ect?
your help would be greatly appreciated as my head is spinning?
