rooting NC 1.2.0 with B&N features

If rooting 1.2 is the same as rooting 1.1 then you will lose some B&N features..mainly the Read in store feature..
Using a rooted stock 1.1 NookColor rendered the Read Instore feature inoperable, it would fail to authorize(even though I could read purchased Nook Books using the stock nook reading experience).
This is one of the main reason why I'm not going to root my NC... I particularly like going to a BN and reading a book for free for an hour...
I found out that the limit is 1 hour per book..after that hour, you can read another book.

Actually I've had no problem using the Read in store feature with my rooted stock 1.1. Actually haven't had any problems with B&N features on my rooted stock 1.1. That's one of the benefits of sticking to rooted stock. You keep the features for the stock reader.

Maybe something else happened to your rooting?

I dont know.. I just did the standard autonooter thing... and when I would go to a store, i would get all the way through the read instore process for a book, and then get an error that my nook couldn't be validated.. ..
happened every time i rooted.

Weird, I've sat down at the coffee shop at B&N a couple of times and gone through the some recommended lists, followed the read in store process and opened and read books. I even noticed that the book stuck around for a while after I left the store, but eventually reset.

I did the same autonooter on a stock 1.1 nook. Have you verified it works when not rooted?
