Rooting Nexus 6 affect my warranty?

I think the question here should be "WHY do you want to root your N6?"

Do you want to get rid of carrier apps you never use?
Do you want to install custom recovery?
Do you want to install a custom ROM?
Do you want to GPS spoof in Ingress?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, then go for it.

I didn't think I'd want/need to root my N6.
But I did, and glad I did. I loaded Chroma with the M radio, and my batter life amazing.

If you are looking for official sources, then I don't think there are any from Motorola or Google that officially state root will void warranty. From what I've seen, is that rooting will not affect your warranty if the warranty service is not root related...meaning, the software or device is not bricked. If you have hardware problems, that are not software or root related (i.e. broken buttons) then Google or Moto will warranty it.

If you are concerned with the warranty you can restore to stock by flashing the factory images provided on Google's website. The process is very easy, and not any more difficult than rooting the N6.
