Rooting Stock Froyo on Dinc

I'm not a Dinc user, I'm a DX user. I have a friend with a Dinc that saw me using Barnacle WiFi on my X. My friend is not really technology savvy, but can connect to a wifi hotspot. My question is this: Is there a simple one-click method for rooting the Dinc that can be done as I talk her through it over the phone (land-line, not cell)? I was looking for a simple method like the windows app that will root/unroot the X. I was unable to find anything like that in the forums, but I may have searched the wrong terms. Thanks in advance!

The Unrevoked Info for this type of stuff is available on their web page.

unrevoked

Dinc is on the far right.

Note that the Unrevoked3 Unlocking tool is still in testing. You can follow the instructions and get to the IRC channel for possibly using the beta while they are testing. I know a lot of devices have been unlocked with that already. It is still in testing though so there is no direct link to the tool yet.

Thanks. It looks a little more complicated than what I would want to talk her through over the phone. She'll be back in the area in a few weeks, so I'll keep an eye on it to see about rooting her phone on her next trip.

Maybe there'll be a final release by then. From the looks of it, I think she should have rooted before getting Froyo for the best results.

I did the OTA for froyo and i used the test build for the new 3.2.1 from unrevoked 3 and it worked beautifully. Just had to get a driver to update the USB when i plug it into the computer. worked. just started up unrevoked 3 and plugged the phone in and it did all the work. Pretty simple actually.. maybe not to do it over the phone but I was the IRC channel that they provide the link for and had people helping if I ran into any issues
