Rooting the Nexus 5 with Towelroot

Does anyone know when Towelroot by Geohot will be rooting nexus 5 with lollipop?

Never. It's impossible to use Towelroot on Lollipop.

Towel Root depends on a flaw in the kernel that was patched on June 3, 2014, so any kernel dated after that can't be rooted by Towel Root. Will Geohot find another exploit to use to root Lollipop? We can only hope he or someone else does. I won't update until then.

I may be missing something here, but is it an option to use other tools, such as SuperSU? I know SuperSU works with Lollipop.
