I have a Verizon Bionic..
Just wondering what can happen if I root it...and I don't want to "break/brick" it.

You should be able to root successfully. Many have done so.

Just do go mucking around in the OS doing things you aren't sure of.

It depends on what os your on? The most current os is rootable yet.

Uhhh not sure which one in About Phone is the OS...and I am guessing it is 5.5.893.XT875.Verizon.en.US.

5.5.893 is the current "OFFICIAL" sys version following the last "OFFICIAL" OTA update (not the accidental release of the .901 OTA).

Should be rootable.

Again, keep your hands off things you don't understand and you should be fine.

DO NOT delete any bloat unless you have a solid backup first. You will be off the upgrade path without it.

Go with caution, my son.

Yes, you can just freeze bloat with TiBu, and unfreeze when wanted/needed.

And if you can't get an ota to work later on, that R3L3ASE3ROOT and FOR3V3RROOT tool is a very easy way back to stock. Just use titanium backup to backup all apps and data. When you restore them, dont restore the system apps, I did that and ended up with unnecessary duplicates. After root, use CWM to make a nandroid backup of the stock phone, then you can always have a way back.

Tapped on my Bionic running KIN3TX.

But there's 200+ apps! So I guess I just restore the apps I installed?... like Barcode Scanner, Poker...?

Nah when you sign back in your apps will automatically download. You can restore data for games and the like and you should NOT restore any system apps thru tibu...
