Rooting X with 2.2

So if I am understanding correctly once I get the OTA for 2.2 I will lose my root access and not be able to get it back with EasyRoot, is that correct? At that point what are my options? I am not well versed in the whole rooting process with the exception of 1 click root so I am very leary on what to do?

After ota drops wait a few days some one will get it going.
