nah bro I'm on HTC one V. but point me to the files and I'll cook up something for the v. if I don't need an elite in hand(,sold off one backup I had) I can start something for them also. would be a fun learning process.

yeah I didn't think it should be done, at least for the elite. if you can't test it and debug it you could put something out that bricks devices.
in superuser when I click to update....everything loads and updates well, however one thing seems to keep happening. "copying su to /system_ fail!" happens each time. I have downloaded busybox and superuser fixer, but to no absolute avail.
try uninstalling original superuser and then redownloading from market. ill ask around and see what the cause is.
update: for anyone having superuser/su binary update issues,here is a flashable zip that can be used in clockwork mod to resolve your root issues.

I don't know if it's just my phone or something but I tried downloading them from the links or whatever, and they WILL NOT download at all.
So I tried going to the app store, the first one downloaded but didn't work. So I tried downloading the second one, and I couldn't even find it in the app store! D:

Both download just fine for me. I'd say just clear your browser cache and try again.

it also says "there's a problem parsing the package" when i try to install poot, i redownloaded a few times still the same. Any ideas?
As soon as I click 'Press Here To Poot' my phone freezes so i then have to take out the battery and turn it on PLEASE HELP
Thanks for the info, quickest and easiest root I've ever done! Now we need a simple way to get recovery....so far its kinda complicated

I ran both apks just fine but when I use root checker it tells me the root failed.
I tried superuser and it updated correctly but still tells me "new su" doesn't work...
