Is there any way to root the 2 without unlocking bootloader? If yes pls help. I know how to unlock the bootloader and root its just that I've been forbidden by my dad to do this on my phone

Well... considering it is a lot easier to tell if a phone is rooted as opposed to whether the bootloader is unlocked, that might not be the most wise decision.

Not that I'm aware of, although you can relock the bootloader once it's rooted.

It's also worth mentioning that unlocking the bootloader and gaining root access doesn't void your warranty with Oneplus.

It's best for you to learn. I suspect you have Bricked a phone in the past and that's why dad is mad . Read instructions carefully and u won't have a brick.
