Rough edges on HTC One?

I went I an AT&T store today and looked at the HTC One. Everything looked good, but I found random rough spots along both sides... It felt like maybe the polycarbonate was rough in some areas, but it was smooth in other areas. Has anyone else experienced this? Seemed like a poor quality control issue to me.

Probably because other people have used it, and they just put it back without care, therefore damaging the demo version... yup

I mentioned the same thing in the " HTC one on display?" Forum. The one I messed with was rough/scratchy feeling where the beveled aluminum meets the polymer along the sides. The phone hadn't been out long enough for it to get abused by customers.

That was the volume rocker. Duh.

That was funny, however a lot of people will be disappointed if many of the phones feel that way. I know that It was the first thing I noticed holding it this morning, especially when build quality has been a big selling point for some.

I'm going to the AT&T store where I bought my original iPhone in June of 2007. I'll check out the One there and give my impressions of the rough surfaces. I have a 64g developer edition preordered.

My whole point I was trying to make in my thread, all the hype about quality of feel bland and roof looked good but wasn't perfect

You'd be amazed how fast customers can f*** up a phone

I think the point was trolling ...

I checked out out the HTC One today and checked the plastic sides. There were a couple of teeny, tiny rough places where it felt as if there was a particle of extra plastic on the side, but nothing so bad as to get me emotionally traumatized or running to a shrink for therapy.

With that kind of build quality, there shouldn't be any rough edges. It kind of defeats the whole point.

It felt like a little particle that you could probably remove with your thumbnail; I'm talking grain of sand here. I'll still buy the One. I'm not OCD enough to go suicidal over a grain of sand. :D

I'm coming from an iPhone 5, so maybe my expectations are too high.

So am I, and I haven't experienced any of the problems with it that others have. That said, I still think the HTC One is a beautiful phone and I'm looking forward to evaluating it at the end of the week (I hope!) :)
