I'm trying to flash SPRecovery onto my Droid (as per Video: Flashing SPRecovery SBF to Stock 2.1 | Droid Life: A Motorola Droid Blog) but when I start the process (i.e. click start in RSD Lite), I'm receiving an error that reports the following:

Failed flashing process. (0x7100); phone connected

The only fixes I've found suggested involved checking your drivers, yet I've definitely tried Moto 64 4.2 and 4.5 drivers, both resulting in the same error.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks.

Run it as administrator and/or xp compatibility mode.

weird. i have 7 x64 and i was able to do this without any issues. you could try completely uninstalling the moto drivers, and manually reinstalling them if you have not done so already.

Thanks - this worked... on the sixth attempted!

However, I'm now happenly rocking rooted stock 2.1, so I'm happy.
