RUMOR? Echo getting 2.3 on August 1st!

It's funny - I swore I wasn't "that guy" who was really depending on having a slick phone with bells and whistles and everything but a can opener functionality - but I'm really hating waiting for my backordered replacement phone. I've been spoiled with newer software and a good processor...

What is the status of the update? Any word on when they will be re-releasing it? I can't find any info out there about it.

I can still download it but should I? I am on my 2nd echo and it is completely factory, haven't rooted it or done anything to it yet. Im scared to do it.

Xoom: Unlocked, Rooted, Overclocked at 1.4, and on Tiamat 2.0 Manta Ray.

Yeah they pulled the update and there is still no word on a fix.
