Rumor: Specs blowout and release info

Just did, and it makes sense, honestly. It's a good chip, but I was hoping to be blown away like with last year's Exynos. Honestly, paired with Sammy's good design, a big battery and a SAMOLED+ (hoping it can stand at least toe to toe with the SLCD2), should be a nice phone. Once again, I'm sure Sprint will tweak something for the better like they've done before. Part of the S2's prowess was not only what was under the hood, but also Sammy's incredible software optimization - it really set it apart from the pack, imo. Hope that continues.

My source was right about everything else thus far though... Granted he hasn't responded to me in a while. Maybe he heard U.S. was getting the A15 dual core and immediately thought Exynos, as opposed to Krait... that would make sense. Honestly, don't care much about his explanation at this point, I just wanna see the device be unveiled. I'm pretty confident it'll leak at least somewhat before May 3rd.

Is it too early to start yearning for the gsIV or the galaxy note II? I have a feeling this release might be a little underwhelming considering all the hype

Yeah, we might see the Quad core 5 series with Mali T658 in the Galaxy SIV at this point. Maybe that'll see an April 2013 launch? :)

I guess I'll be fine with the S4. I mean, after all, as long as it plays all the fancy games perfectly and we have a smooth UI, it almost doesn't matter what's under the hood. Technically speaking, the S4 is more advanced, going to have to do some reading on the 225. The reviews of the AT&T One X should be pretty revealing since it will run the same resolution as the GS3 while the One S is only running at qhd.

The Adreno 225 isn't slow at all, but it's also not a Mali or high-end PowerVR either. It can stream 1080p at 60fps I believe, so what more do you want?

I am very excited for this phone.

I also guessed right , that there will prob be alot of disappointment when it is released. Just too much over-hyped

i sorta wished samsung had already developed exynos with LTE for north american frequencies.. but the S4 should be fine. kinda crushed my hopes for this thing because there was so much hype for it.

The latest pics make the S III, look a lot like my Galaxy Nexus. But I am sure the screen tech in the S III will be amazing.

But not a fan of Touchwizz, much prefer stock vanilla Android UI. By the time a stable release of CM 9 is working on the S III, the Nexus-Four, won't be too far away.

Much rather wait the 5 months for the next Nexus at this point. And who even knows when U.S. carriers will get the S3 ?

Another question for people with the s2 or any other samsung phone. do you have the volume cap when you use your headphones ??? i hope the new one doesnt have this

I have the galaxy note. It doesn't have a volume cap, but it does warn you about going beyond a certain volume with headphones in that it will result in worse hearing over time. Blah blah blah

Yes thats what myblackberry had, but my Galaxy doesnt have this... the highest volume is so low even with premium headphones

Just have to say, for a person who has had every iPhone, I have never been so excited for a new phone and a new OS (Also a 4G network). I really hope they get the ball rolling when this phone is announced. I would really hate to have to wait more than 3 months for a phone.

I know this is just guessing and probably not anywhere near accurate but, was the likely hood that this phone when purchased with a new contract will only be $200?

Not sure what carrier you're on, but sprint premium phones always cost 199. Verizon goes as high as 299 and on at&t the skyfire was supposed to be 250 until they brought it down to 200.

Best Buy in Canada has already dropped the price of the One X by $50. It's selling for $150 on a 3year contract.
