Does he mean released to carriers in a few weeks then whenever the carriers decide to release it or....carriers release the update shortly?

It offers a show of commitment from HTC, so you should welcome 4.3 and support HTC's efforts, if you own a One!

I posted a link up there that LITERALLY answers your question of what 4.3 has new to offer.

Just click it...and read.....

These phones are literally designed to be used with a skin not stock Android like a N4 has. The One has a IR Blaster, 2 capacitive buttons, and built in amplifiers for both speakers that wouldn't even work or sound correctly if HTC couldn't tweak the software on the GPE.

My GS4 Google Edition works perfectly without TouchWiz, IR Blaster and all. Prior to this phone, I had the skinned GS3 and always thought about how great that phone would be with stock Android. The GS4GE is the ideal phone for me. With regards to HTC One GE, I've read a lot of reports that the Ultrapixel camera really suffers without HTC software. Hopefully, they can improve in that department down the line.

Also the custom software brings features to your phone that stock software doesn't now or will never provide like HTC Zoe and BlinkFeed which is something I find myself using quite a lot actually.

This is exactly why I included the caveat "If you don't care about Sense..." in my response to RavenSword. If you like custom features, more power to you (hence you find stock Android lacking). With regards to Blinkfeed, Flipboard is a good alternative to it. To me, they are a step above bloatware. However, having choices is what makes Android so great!

By the way, Flipboard is a great alternative to Blinkfeed.

4.3 for the ATT HTC One leaked today. The official isn't too far off : )

It's now mid September... We've seen a pretty much fully-cooked 4.3 for the ATT One... Wanna place any bets on to when the updates will actually be rolling out? Could be any day now. I'm still fairly sure of my "Verizon by June 2014" bet.

I say mid to late November for sprint.

4.1.2 on my HTC One is more stable than 4.2.2 is on my friend's S4, so I'm pretty pleased. Still, I'm excited for 4.3! Hopefully Sprint pushes it out pretty swiftly once they get it.

Apparently Monday's the big day for Sprint... This coming from a supposedly "very reliable" source on XDA.
