Rumors/Updates for Release Date

I'm sure hoping the release date is the 18th. I've waiting with my upgrade in my hands since March. The problem is I'll have to retire my Droid "X" which is still going strong and has been the best smartphone I have ever had.

I'm patiently/impatiently waiting until the release of the Razr Maxx HD on the 18th!

I'm waiting impatiently on the release of this phone also. I've currently got the Droid X, but I became eligible for a new phone on 9/29, so I haven't been waiting quite as long. My phone has been really sluggish lately, I've tried clearing the cache, it doesn't help. I'm about ready to wipe and start over, but if this current rumor of Oct 18 holds true, I can wait another week.

After I get the new one, I'm going to wipe my X and turn it into my standalone MP3 player to replace my first gen iPod touch which can't download any apps anymore due to obsolescence. I think the X with a 32GB card will be a perfect fit for my needs, and I'll be able to have the apps I want on it.

I can't hardly wait until the 18th. I really hope the date is on target.

Pricing

On pricing - this is from earlier in this thread and would be GREAT pricing IMHO

From the article -
As for the future U.S. pricing for the two devices, we might have to reconsider early rumors. We were pretty convinced the Droid Razr HD would hit Verizon for $199.99 with a two-year contract, while the Razr Maxx HD would go for $299.99. But if Canadians will get the Razr HD for a starting price of $99.99, why shouldn?t people stateside expect $100 and $200 prices for the new Razr and Razr Maxx handsets, respectively?

Possibly, Verizon told me that $30 upgrade fee ensures cheaper devices. I doubt it's true and I always get that fee reversed but still a thought none the less.

Same here, I'm getting annoyed by my current 4" screen HTC! Man that MAXX better be out along with the regular Razr, assuming of course the latter is out at all on the 18th. :)

The Motorola RAZR HD LTE just launched on Rogers for $100 with a three-year contract or $599.99 outright. The device is also coming to Verizon Wireless soon after. Rumors are making the rounds that the device could hit US shores through Verizon as soon as later this month. We are thinking the device is going to go for $199 with a two-year contract. Rogers requires three-years, which equates to a lower price.

The MAXX HD could launch at the same time. It is almost identical to the RAZR HD, but it features a massive 3,300 mAh battery. This extra large battery promises 21 hours of talk time. Because of the extra large battery, it is about one millimeter thicker than the RAZR HD. As always, we will keep you posted on all things RAZR HD and RAZR MAXX as they develop.

I think the largest SD card that the "X" will accept is 16GBs. When the "X" was released back in July, 2010 the 32GB card hadn't been released yet.

I had a 32 gb card in my x. I didn't have the X day one so it is possible it was added in an update.

Oh, cool, good to know. The possibility that one of the system updates allowed the use of a 32GB card was something I never thought of.

thanks,

Anybody have the regular Maxx? If so how many hours of screen on time do u get while on 3g?

I am really thinking about getting this phone I just wished they would have included 2gb of ram and or a nice s4 pro quad or some new A15 architecture dual core. But the battery alone is making me want to get it

The S4 processors in the new RAZRs are 28nm Dual-Core A15 architecture processors. Snapdragon S4

Pricing should be the same as previous verison so yes $199 & $299 but soon as we get our pricing I will gladly pass that on if it has changed. Will also let you know if we see any "must have" accessories if we get any information on those before launch.

Any idea on full retail prices? Gotta pay up to keep that unlimited data...

Question that is off the beaten path, but I figured it didn't deserve its own thread. With my Rezound I have always been able to talk and use data at the same time on 4G or 3G because it has two antennas. With the RAZR HD & MAXX HD, when I am in a 4G area, will I be able to do the same thing or do I have to to wait for the next evolution in LTE to finally be able to do this with another phone?
Anyone?

Damn man when is Moto gonna announce this?
