hi,
I unlock and root my Gnex. Now I have one question. is that enough for me to use my Gnex on other network? I will travel later in this year. I want to use my Gnex when traveling.

thanks.

Most likely not, depending on where you're traveling. Most other networks are GSM, the ones that are CDMA will still be difficult to get your phone activated on but you can subscribe to some Verizon International plans. They've done away with the steal of a plan that gave you unlimited data for $60 a month, so even if the country your going to has a CDMA network it'll cost an arm and a leg.

You'll still, luckily, be able to use WiFi overseas and GPS should work fine as well.

i will try to use my phone on GSM network. I will plug in another sim card.
Let me clarify my question.
Can I use my Gnex with sim card from other carrier? for example, use AT&T sim card on my verizon Gnex.

thanks

The SIM card is for LTE only, LTE networks worldwide are pretty fragmented from a spectrum standpoint and there is little/no compatibility between them so you're in the same boat - stuck with VZW. :(

Well considering Verizon uses a totally different protocol then the majority of the world no you will not be able to use the device. Even if you find another carrier with LTE which is GSM based your device will still not be able to work since there will be a difference in frequencies. The GNex on Verizon is NOT a world phone.
