Is anyone else's Pixel 3XL running janky on Q beta? It seems like the past three days when switching apps or closing out of an app there is a slight pause and it's driving me crazy. I did a factory reset and it still doing it. Should I just get out of the beta all together?

this is because a recent update to Google app, once you uninstall the update and don't update its back to normal

I thought it was because of beta 4.

okay, so update. I just uninstalled the updates for the Google application even though I'm in beta mode on that application. No more janky wonky gestures. It doesn't make sense though... I figured It was due to the beta 4 stage of Android Q. Not the Google application being weird.

Another user where I posted the Q gestures pick up on this

Wow. pretty amazing, that did the trick. thanks so much for ur help guys.

Yeah, I can't believe it myself! Again, I thought it was just due to Q Beta 4 and not the Google application. Interesting...

There is always the standard beta warning to never run beta software on any device you depend on to work reliably. Since I use my 3 XL for stock market trading, to control my hearing aids, and of course for possibly critical phone calls, I need reliability. So I can't risk running beta software.

Yeah, there for sure. It's usually pretty fun to run beta software and to be a beta pig lol

That's understandable, I wouldn't recommend running beta if it's the only phone , but I have back up so for me it ok .

My 3XL is my only phone but thankfully there worms major software bugs so it's livable as a daily driver. And like I said before I love being a Beta pig testing out cutting edge new software features.

Nothing wrong with that as long you understand some things won't work, which I know you do

Haha yes yes I have a very good understanding of that. As long as I got my Android Auto to temporarily until Android Q is ready That's all I really care about.
