Running VPN / battery drain

I've been running Nord VPN. It appears to just slow down the system and be a huge battery drain. Anybody else doing anything like this?

Of course, the vpn will slow down the speed of the network, battery drain and system influence, no, I did not find such issues, only the speed of network.

check battery stats for the app to see its usage

It shouldn't be a huge battery drain but it will cause more then normal. The phone isbahving to encrypt and decrypt all traffic on the fly.
