S III vs Nexus

Anyone who owns a Nexus and is thinking about the S3, stop thinking and just buy it. I cannot imagine going back to a GNEX after using the S3.

The one thing I will give the GNEX is that the device was smooth. I didn't jump ship to the S3 because of the better processor. I had no problems with the GNEX in that sense. The reason I did jump ship is for the awesome battery, 4 hours on screen time over LTE, The much improved camera especially indoor pics, the much better screen, more powerful vibrate so you can actually feel it. I also was not a fan of the on-screen buttons of the GNEX. It took up screen real-estate for no reason. I would rather use more screen for more info and not buttons. Especially since there was enough room at the bottom of the device for capacitive buttons.

Oh, the radio's are much improved as well. I will actually see 4G on the S3 in fringe area's where there was no shot with the GNEX.

I just pricked up an S3 because I misplaced my GNex while on vacation. I figured if I was going to pay full retail I should get the latest. I was surprised to see that the Charge is still the same retail price as the S3!

That said, I run CM10 and probably wouldn't have gotten the S3 if there hadn't been the bootloader leak.

Once back from vacation I will be making an insurance claim and will have both!

I was just looking on the VZW trade in site and the charge has a 68.00 trade in value and the GS3 has a 96.00 trade in value. Funny thing the GNex has 122.00 trade in value and Razr Maxx has around 170.00 trade in value. The Razr itself has a higher trade in value even.

Wow, I didn't know this could be done but this is exactly what I want! The only reason I still don't have this phone is because the buttons are backwards from my Nexus 7.
Are you on Verizon? Can this be done with the Verizon phone?

I put both the Nav_HomeCamera one as well as the Nav_Remove one on my phone in case something goes wacky and I needed to remove the mod. The first couple of times I tried it I was getting some screen flicker so I took it off. After flashing today's nightly and reflashing the mod I haven't noticed the flicker yet.

I went through 4 GNEX replacement and finally got Verizon to send me a Razr Maxx as a replacement. Not because I wanted that phone but I knew I could sell it for more money then the GNEX to use towards my S3. Put it on eBay 2 weeks ago and it sold for $350. The GNEX would not have come anywhere close to that.
