Hi guys,

Just wondering if anybody knows of a way I can restore the S Memo backed up from my S3 to Note 3? I've managed to restore everything except the S Memos that ive backed up from my S3.

Can you guys explain the Samsung account to me? I have a note 2, have a ton of s notes that I want moved over to the 3 when I get it (verizon) and the answer seems to be the Samsung account. Sadly, I'm not super familiar with that. Was this something I should have done on my Note 2? Please feel free to treat me like I know nothing, no offense taken. Thank you!

The only time I use the Samsung account is to sync my phone logs, messages, S notes and etc. In the past, I was able to reset my S3 to default without having to worry about the logs and other important stuff because I could back it up first before the reset and restore it once I'm done and the important data is still there. I noticed a problem when I moved to the note 3 which is the notes are no longer there and somehow I can't seem to get it into this new phone and I've sold the S3. (Can anybody help on this?)

On the other hand, I would suggest that you back up the notes onto your Google account just in case it doesn't migrate across and you would still be able to access them via gmail. Good luck.

Another question I'm embarrassed to ask, how do I set up a Samsung account? I know about my Google account, but I'm not aware of how you set up the Samsung one mentioned in this thread. Thanks!

hi Rikken,

Tried that but till today, it doesn't work as both app saves the files using different extensions. S Memo saves them as .snb while S Note saves them as .spd

That's right. Samsung made the S-notes different formats for the Note 3 and it's caused nothing but problems. I keep going to Samsung chat for help just to bug them about it hoping enough noise will get a fix. I have an even bigger problem in that I have the original Note 10.1 and used it just so I could have S-notes on my Note phone and Note 10.1. Now when they try to sync, I get locked S-notes on my 10.1 and they want an unknown password to open or delete. I've turned all my syncing off yet occasionally a note from my Note 3 will land on my 10.1 with a lock. It's extremely frustrating!
