i previously rooted my phone then attempted to unroot it. when i attempted to install the pc36img thing or whatever it was, it said that it was older than what was on my phone. well now i still have the superuser on my phone but it says that s-on. i would love to have it rooted again. any help will be appreciated and thanks in advance!

If you've unrooted it, it sounds like you need to root it again.

s-on means nand is locked, it doesn't imply root or no-root. Superuser app is actually a record of applications that request and are granted superuser permissions. In of itself, it doesn't do anything in terms of granting permissions, so it's not an indication of a rooted phone.

What software version and hboot do you have? A great place for you to start is in the stickies in this forum. You'll find all you need to get going to root your phone.
