I rooted my phone and now have cyanogen installed on it, but my phone still says s-on, everywhere i read said that once you root your phone it will say s-off.

Welcome to AC!

Do you have a custom recovery installed? Press the power button, go to reboot and select recovery. Please update with what your phone boots in to, hopefully it's a text menu and says either amon ra recovery or clockworkmod recovery.

What is the benefit of using unrevoked forever when i can install custom roms and what not right now, what does s-off do for me?

thanks for the quick replies by the way

It's just a little strange, your hboot should be showing s-off. I guess technically if you can do everything you have to, you're fine but if you run in to problems remember just to flash unrevoked-forever.zip and it'll turn that bit to s-off.

Radios and such IMPORTANT updates will not Flash with S-ON...

S-ON u can not apply changes to Themes properly

Certain flashing will not stick... Just all kinds of Funky stuff
