Onboard S pen is great for quick notes but I really want a more substantial pen feel for drawing and long writing.

I know of the Samsung options. I want something more than just a case that holds a standard S pen. A classy design with a good feel. Replaceable tips with optional hardness levels a plus.

So far I have tried the Wacom bamboo Feel. Good price. Decent feel in the hand. Replaceable tips in hard and soft hardness. Good reviews with previous Galaxy Note products .........BUT, there has been a small change with the GN8. This stylus registers just a few millimeters off.

The difference is not horrible but it is definitely noticeable. I find it to not be a huge problem for note taking. Drawing on the other hand, forget about it.

Anyone else have experience with other stylus?

I use the Samsung ET-S200EBE S Pen w/ Eraser that I modded to make even wider. I used the case of one of those pens that have several colors(around $2). I used a Dremel tool to make a hole for the button( which was taken from an old remote control that I wasn't using). I use it mainly for sketching and drawing. The added width and larger button make a big difference when holding the pen for an extended period of time.

Very nice mod. I was thinking in using the case of a broken Intuos 3 or 4 Stylus, but I haven't found one yet.

That was my original plan. I have three extra pens from different wacom tablets. Unfortunately the housings interior is not large enough to fit either the stock stylus or the Samsung ET-S200EBE that I bought.
I looked at a lot of other pens that had a thick barrel but found that the interior width was the same as a standard pen. They just made the walls of the pen thicker to make the outside dimensions wider. That is what led me to use a pen that had multiple colors because I knew the interior had to be bigger to accommodate the other colors. I also wanted one with an ergonomic rubber grip. Plus it was from a dollar store so it was cheap.
