I've been looking for a way to fix the accuracy of the S-Pen since I got this tablet, so maybe a year...Not wanting to root, flash or, really, put much effort into it. But, none the less, I kept looking through solutions, work arounds and other people's frustrated posts regarding a change made in the upgrade to 4.4.2 that left the S-Pen just a touch inaccurate. Yesterday I was going through some post somewhere for some reason and I ran across a person who learned to calibrate his pen by touching the corners of the screen. I did a bit of my own screwing around with his method a of calibration and I'd like to share my findings...
Therected is a built in calibration the device uses, but it's "active" (a constant tracking of location of the pen in relation to the screen) The easiest (and maybe only) way to ensure accuracy of screen to pen relation is to use the egdes of the screen to do so, not just corners. I found that every time the pen travels off the screen the nib would be instantly adjusted because my device thought it was off. Now, it's important to mention that my screen is cracked, which makes testing of this theory and recording of results even easier for me. I found dragging you pen off the right side of the screen moved the nib slightly left, dragging of the top moved it slightly down an found that to get it as accurate as I wanted it took dragging it off of every side of the screen first then I could drag it off one side multiple times to get the desired effect. BUT this effect would not last past me holstering my pen, which seems to reset it to whatever is the default programming is. I used my Sketchbook to record my movemen's and the changes they madeven for me. Hope you found this helpful. Personally, my frustration with this issue is over.
