S Pen Not Charging Properly

Hi all! I'm having an issue with the S Pen not charging when it's in the phone.

When I pull out the S Pen for the first time (after it's been sitting docked inside the phone overnight) the battery goes from 100% to 0% in a matter of minutes 2 minutes.

I'll get a notification telling me to place the S Pen back in the phone to charge it. So I do and wait about 30 seconds and then I can use it after it charges to 100%.

Now by doing this I can get about 30 minutes of use until I get the low battery notification again.

It seems that the Pen isn't charging properly while it's still in the phone for prolonged periods of time.

Any one else having issues similar to this? Or any suggestions on how to fix it? I've already tried resetting the S Pen and still this happens.

Check out the pictures and the time at the upper right.

I haven't gotten the 9 yet but is your phone in a power saving mode maybe and it only wakes up certain functions when screen is on

Are you using a folio case with some sort of magnetic cover? Or case with metal kickstand? Magnets are no good for Notes.

Already tried doing a reset in S Pen Settings and Nope, I'm not using a case... Naked Note 9.

I would definitely contact camping support I wouldn't even play with it anymore to be honest if it's not charging it could be the pen or phone and would be a warranty claim I'd assume.

Yeah, call support and have them send you a replacement pen. Too bad you can't try another pen... maybe see if a carrier store or Best Buy will let you test another pen then you could eliminate that it's a bad pen. Is your pen bent by chance?

I like having a spare and can find it at Samsung stire but may take longer to arrive.

You don't have spare backup accessories? Case, cables, charger. Even spare phone. In case you misplaced or left it at work or in the car.

I don't have a spare pen. I doubt many do.

Someone mentioned Samsung and just good to remind you are under warranty and try to have them ship you one.

It'd probably take the same amount of time as if you'd ordered from Amazon so try them first. If they won't then pay the $50.
