I got a notification "S Pen is disconnected". It works with the screen with no problem but can't use gestures, like pressing the S Pen button to take pictures.
Somebody else with this problem?

Is bluetooth enabled on the phone (S-Pen rich actions will not work without it)? If you insert the pen into the siloh, do you get the 'connecting' message or any error? Do you have another S-Pen you can try? It could be that the internal battery for the S-Pen has died and not charging any more, so a new pen would solve the problem.

I'd say it's incredibly unlikely to be the "battery", the S-Pen actually uses a super capacitor which should easily hit a usable lifespan of a decade. And should actually last far longer than that.

I don't recall any going bad on my Notes but I'm sure can happen

Faulty hardware is more likely the issue if the battery is 'dead'.

I agree. But i'm saying that, unlike a phone, it's no more likely to be the battery than it is any other piece of hardware. Including the inductive coil in the phone.

I was curious to know how you solved this problem. I am also facing the same thing with my S pen.

I have not solved it yet, since I'm using this as a secondary phone it's not a big deal. I've read from other forums that people had to buy a new S-pen.

Just read an article on Sammobile regarding the use of magnetic phone cases or other accessories and S pen issues.

My mint Note 10 plus 5G 512gb with 512gb sd cards S pen stopped working a few days ago. It works on the screen but phone fails to connect to it and can't find it.

Hardly used it over the life of the phone so didn't expect a failure and know that it runs on a capacitor.

Found an official source for a replacement at phone parts.co.uk rather than risking a dodgy ebay job, unfortunately they have sent a blue one by mistake (I ordered aura black) but can confirm the blue one does work again.

So clearly something potentially does go wrong inside these S pens after a number of years....

Awaiting replacement black one now.
