S-Pen question

Anyone know if the s-Pen for the S23 Ultra the same exact SpPen as the S22 ?

If you trade in will you keep the S22 S-Pen as a back up ?

I can tell you that the end of the pen of the S23 Ultra is boxier than the one on the S22 Ultra. Not sure of the actual pen itself which could be identical. As far as functionality I am willing to bet the S22U is the same and it'll work with the S23U.

If you trade in shouldn't the pen go with the phone? Might as well keep the buttons, screen, and everything else as a backup lol.

I don't know about the rest of the world but in the UK you have to send the phone in complete, including the Pen.

Reason for asking , was in the past the terms of the trade in always stated S-Pen , Chargers etc.
I brought the same up last year and was suprised on how many said they would not follow the terms and were keeping a charger and or s-pen's

Well unfortunately due to them not supplying a charger, they won't be getting that back that's for sure lol.

True. If it didn't come with a charger then you don't need to send one in. On this spen discussion my thought is simple. The spen came with the phone so I would imagine they want it. There might have been times people got away with not sending it in and getting away with it, but I wouldn't take a chance on losing the $500 trade in over a $30 spen. That's my opinion.

On a side note I did keep the spen from the note 7 I had to return and nothing was said. I just threw it away a month ago as it was sitting in my desk drawer and I got tired of seeing it there. I never used it. Chances are the same will happen if you keep it

Yeah I never send back chargers or watch bands unless they tell me I have to. But I will send back the pen cuz I'll have one in the new phone. I don't need an extra one if so I'll buy one versus losing out on $500.

We are talking about Samsung, you don't want them denying your trade in and make videos.

The charger was never actually required though there were some statements during the purchase process that made you believe so.

As far as the Spen, that is supposed to be returned although a couple of people mentioned in the past that they got away with not sending it in. As far as I'm concerned it's not worth the risk of the trade in getting rejected.

This is the terms from ONE YEAR AGO, many ppl replied they would not send in the charges etc. I wander if any trade ins were turned down
I am not suggesting you keep your spen or what ever but if you AGREE to the terms shouldn't they be followed ?

Yeah....I was in a couple of those threads last year. I spoke to several people at Samsung last year and that was a generic statement and is why it reads if applicable. There were also conflicting statements on their FAQs page. It wasn't meant for your typical block chargers. I do not know of anyone here that got their trade rejected because of a lack of returning a block charger.

I do not know of anyone here that got their trade rejected because of a lack of returning a block charger.

When I got my new phone last year the instructions provided for packing up my trade in specifically stated NOT to return any charger, so I kept the charger from the S10+ that I traded.
