S-Planner icon on main weather widget on home screen...

So I just noticed this today because my phone died and I charged it. When it was done, I noticed a small little JAN 1 icon on the main home screen weather widget. If you click it, it opens up S-Planner. Now I use Google Calendar because I thought S-Planner wasn't utilized properly but it's nice how it opens up Samsung's app. Was it always there or something? As far as I know, nothing changed between today and yesterday.

Same thing for me, I have a note2 and all of a sudden the s-planner icon is there. I have no idea.

In the options for the S-Planner widget, you can turn on notifications for "New Year", "My Birthday", and "Contact's Birthday". I don't use that widget but I suspect that you only see the icon on the widget when one of those conditions are true. Have to check tomorrow and see if it's still there.
