S-View Flip Cover issue

Here is the issue and a large google search gets me nothing but the flip not closing.

I bought a original flip cover recently. And my Google Play Edition Galaxy S4, is showing the time and notifications thru the plastic glass if you will fine. However when I get a phone call and the flip cover is closed I only have the time showing and not the caller id as said on many websites. What could be the problem. Running kit kat 4.4.4 stock ROM

Mods can this be moved to maybe the galaxy s4 gpe section maybe I get a response there. Don't wanna double post this over there
