Anyone know if there is a way to change the home button long press setting? Right now it opens Google now which I don't use. I would like it to open up S voice so that I can set reminders and appointments thru it like Siri.

Go to the Google app under the application manager and clear the defaults. Long press the home button and it should give you the option on what the default action will be.

settings, applications, default applications, device assistance app, device assistance app, select svoice

Yeah great it works for me. And does anyone know if there's a way to remove the delay created by the animation? It takes to much time to start listening me (on Galaxy s7)

Been looking for instructions on how to use s voice. Nothing in this digital world seem to think that
written instructions are needed.

On the S7 Edge you can. Go to : settings, applications, default applications, device assistance app, LONG PRESS - device assistance app, select svoice. Then you have to set up your voice. In the setup process I actually set it up with a voice command "Hi Galaxy". It works like OK Google. I think anytime I say "Hi Galaxy" it opens SVoice. It's also set up as long press on home key. Overkill but oh well.

In order to activate the S voice by holding the home button:
Go to Settings -> Apps -> Default Apps(
right corner on top) -> Device Asistance App -> select s voice as default.
I am using Android 7.0(last version so far)
you dont need to install any third party app to do this (:
