I've tried using the OTG adapter that came with my S10+ to connect a USB drive to the phone, but the phone doesn't see the drive. No notification, nothing in the pull-down menu - nothing at all. USB debugging is enabled. I've tried setting default USB behavior to charging only, transfer files, and transfer images, but nothing works. Any help?

Hmm, interesting. I haven't tried it yet myself. Have you tried using a different USB stick?

I bought this Sandisk USB stick from a local Apple store, and it works great for copying/transferring files from my S9 phone to a Windows laptop (and reverse).

Have you download USB driver for Samsung?

I didn't think I'd need a driver to use functionality that's supposed to be built into the phone, but I'll look for it. To be clear, I'm not trying to move files between the phone and a computer, I'm trying to use a USB stick with the phone. It's supposed to support that.

You need to for computer to communicate with the phone.
If you download Samsung smart switch , it will install the drivers

OK, but I'm not trying to connect the phone to a computer, I'm trying to connect a USB drive to the phone.

I have Smart Switch installed, and My Files too. Neither one will recognize a USB drive.

Tried 2 different ones, a Lexar and a SanDisk. I don't want to buy another stick if I don't have to, the phone is supposed to be able to connect to them using the adapter.
