Hi Guys

This may be a dumb question but I'm trying to watch the golf thru NBC Sports app. I went in and changed the setting from Auto to Full Screen yet when I watch the video it still isn't full screen? Am I missing something?

I believe the Full Screen option only applies to letting apps use, well, the full screen (hiding notification and navigation bar and expanding if needed due to the aspect ratio of the phone). However, video is still handled by the app. If it supports it, you'll see an 'aspect ratio' button when you tap the video which should allow you to Fit to Screen, Crop to Fit (that's the option that fills the screen completely). Some apps don't show the icon and you need to pinch in/out to zoom (like YouTube).

Thanks. So not every app will display on the full screen

Every app selected will run in full screen. Not all apps support 'full screen' video inside that app (most do, just some have the option set up differently, like the YouTube example above). I haven't tried the NBC Sports app, but when watching a video try tapping on it and see if there's the little round white icon for video aspect ratio. If not, try pinching in/out. If neither work, then the video is locked to that aspect ratio (which doesn't match the one on your phone's screen).

Oh, and side note...since the aspect ratio isn't 'normal', some apps (mostly outdated or not properly coded) might look 'weird' when forced into 'full screen' mode.

Guys I gotta be doing something wrong. Not one app I have used will fill the whole screen. I am watching the basketball on youtube tv on my phone and it wont stretch to full screen either. black borders on top and bottom of screen. Am I an *****?

Just a thought but if you are watching 16x9 traditional widescreen video on the 19x9 S10 screen you are either going to have black bars on the sides or will zoom in and lose the top/bottom of the video.
