Every few seconds my Galaxy S10 disconnects and reconnects from Wi-Fi. Rebooting sometimes helps but only for a short period of time. Help!

Welcome to Android Central! Does this happen on other wi-fi networks, or only at home?

Turn on Airplane mode and while on turn wifi back on.

Try different channels.
The S10 supports AX Wi-Fi 6 and I'd more robust. $199 Netgear Nighthawk AX-4.

Never happened in past? Just started? Did you enroll in Android 10 beta? etc.

Yes it is my home Wi-Fi. Yesterday I paid more attention to it and it didn't happen when I was out in my car around town. I have Verizon for a carrier, and Atlantic Broadband at home for my network. I'm an IT guy so the first thing I did was reboot the router. So it may not be the phone after all.

No I'm not in beta. Tried the airplane mode with no difference. Yes its happened in the past but has gotten worse. I do have my own router to try but I'll have to check with my provider to see if it's allowed. Thanks!

Are you using wireless N or AC? Is it only on 2.4 GHz or also 5? If it's 2.4 GHz only, I'd wonder about congestion, so maybe try a different channel. (But since you're an IT guy, I'm guessing you have a relatively state-of-the-art router.;))

I've always bought my own routers and modems. ISP had crap models in the past.

With S10 supporting ax I immediately saw better speed and coverage from Wi-Fi 6 router.

But if you have FIOS I don't think you'd be using home router. N is old out of date - useful in an emergency. We had severe lightning and even with everything on UPS the modem was struggling to maintain proper connection and I couldn't be sure about the router. The coax surge fuses ISP puts on a line need to but haven't been replaced in over a decade.

Things to consider.

If it's only happening with home wifi , I suspect the router is the issue

So I have had some experience with this, namely the 5 G band in the router. I would say try to change your 5G band either to the upper channel versus lower and make it more narrow (say 600mb than 1300mb).

Thank you everyone for your advice. Thankfully it was the router, changed it out and all is fine. Great forum with great people. Bye for now.
