S10 price drop

After the S20 is finally released will Samsung lower the price of the S10 lineup? Or will that depend on who your carrier is? I know Apple usually drops thier iPhone usually right after they release a new iPhone. Will that be the case here?

Yes, I have had the 7,8,9 and 10 and price does drop...BUT, They usually give a very nice trade-in for the latest model if you upgrade. Of course...If you want to always stay a year or so behind, you can probably save money by just waiting and not having the absolute newest model every year...tech is my one guilty pleasure so I get a new one each time that come out

Same here. I'm pretty decent with my money but this is one area where I do not make such logical decisions. I've had S4, S5, S6, S7 Edge, S8+, S9+ and S10+. I also had an HTC One M9 and an LG V20 in the mix so there were a couple years where I had more than one device in a year. I will definitely be grabbing an S20+ ASAP.

That's me. Every six months I say I'll get the newest phone and I'll keep that for a year, but never do I'll end caving in and buy the newest one. Currently I'm using the Pixel 3a xl, I got this last year after trading my S10+ in. I still miss that phone and sometimes I wished I hadn't traded that in. I just wanted something cheaper for once and less expensive on my phone bill. Who knows maybe Samsung and T-Mobile will have a nice trade in program I can't pass up. I'll keep my eyes open. Something should pop up after February 11th.

I have seen S10 pluses unlocked US models on Ebay for a hair under $600 recently new so not sure it will be coming down any more than that. That is pretty good pricing for a flagship 1 year old unit that went for $999 a year ago. Anyone else thoughts?

Amazon seems to have an S10 bundle which includes AKG noise cancelling headphones for $750. I don't have a need for the headphones so maybe could sell that to bring the total price down?

Shadow, if you go to the Samsung website, the s10 is selling at 750, but with your s8 as a trade-in, you'll pay significantly less. Check it out. The S10 is selling for 530.

I just bought a ceramic white S10+ with 512GB storage and 8GB RAM for £699 brand new from Very catalogue. The other models and storage sizes are still around £1000 but this model was £400 off. I am really happy with it. I chose the Pixel 4XL over the Samsung as I like to run the beta versions of Android and I love the software. But I fell in love with the S10 range last year and getting this phone for such a cheap price was too much temptation. I also get a year to pay it off interest free. What's not to like.
