Android Central Question

Hello- I recently purchased an S10+, unlocked. The Service Provider is XAA/XAA/TMB (I am on tmobile). The phone came loaded with Android Pie, which I figured was because of factory settings. I went to update the software OTA but no update found. Then I wired into Smart Switch on my MacBookPro running Catalina 10.15.5. And again no update available.

After trying to troubleshoot with Tmobile and Samsung, I am at a loss as both companies are unsure as to why this phone is not able to receive the update.

baseband G975USQU2AGSC seemed to be a sticking point for Tmo as they had no record of this build. I am thinking maybe I got a non-US phone and it hasn't been made eligible by Samsung, even though its 11 months into the software update.

Can anyone shed some light into a possible workaround? Android Pie is fine, but I just sold my S9 which had been on A10 for 7 months!

The baseband suggest a non US phone. I cannot find that baseband version anywhere so something is not quite right. Where did you purchase the phone?

OK This has got me scratching my head. The firmware on your device appears to be for an S10 not S10 plus. See https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s10/firmware/SM-G973U/TMB/download/G973USQU2ASGC/284400/

Note the only difference is the model number.

The correct firmware for your device is here https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/g...e/SM-G975U/TMB/download/G975USQS4DTF6/354678/

I have no idea what has previously happened to your phone. Perhaps the vendor could throw some light on it?

This firmware needs to be flashed to the phone using Odin. Are you familiar with how to do this?
