Hey guys! an S20 Exynos owner here.

When I record a video (everything default, FHD 30fps etc.), I always get this weird jumpiness and choppiness. My only guess is maybe the OIS is doing some extra-work trying to stabilize things, while at the end everything just looks unsmooth and almost robotic.

Captured a short video below to showcase

You can see it on mobile, but it's very clear on a monitor. right as the video starts you can see it. This issue appears in all of the videos I ever taken with this device.

Has someone encountered this? Do you guys see it on one of your S20's? Maybe my unit is defected?

(factory reset didn't help btw).

Thanks! :-)

It looks like the image stabilization is refocusing. In your example you're tracking up, down and side to side. Does it do this if you simply film directly in front of you while you walk? I'd say "if" it does it's far less noticeable. Also less noticeable if the transitions were slower. I'm not saying this is the correct behavior, just what it appears to be. What does the video look like with image stabilization off? Well besides bouncy...

If this is the case I wonder if shutting down things in the background would help by freeing up RAM??? And again I know this shouldn't be the case, it shouldn't make a difference or work that way, but nothing else is coming to me.
