Hello, I'm not really educated on these settings. This phone is my first Android.
I want to be able to take better than average video's of trains & such outdoors. Shorter video's 20 to 30 seconds perhaps.
I'd like to be able to send these via email without a gigantic file size. View them on a PC or Laptop with average size monitor. And full screen, not windowed.

This camera has these settings,
UHD 3840 x 2160 60 FPS
UHD 3840 x 2160 30 FPS

FHD 1920 x 1080 60 FPS
FHD 1920 x 1080 30 FPS

HD 1280 x 720 30 FPS

Appreciate any help
Dave

If you take videos in full UHD settings especially at 60FPS the files will be extremely large. There is no way around a 4K video at such high frame rate.

The FHD at 30 FPS will still be a decent sized file and unfortunately believe it or not the 720p video file at 30 FPS will be large enough to perhaps hit certain email box sizes for attachments.

Of course you can take the video in 720p, HD or 4K but perhaps share it via WhatsApp or just share the link from your Google Photos backup. This way the recipient does not have to download an attachment and you can view it by streaming your video file over the internet.

For full screen choose 16:9 aspect ratio. There will still be bards at the ends because the phone is 20:9 aspect ratio, you can always pinch to zoom out to fill the screen.

Hope this helps.

If you would prefer to record video at their highest resolutions to retain quality, instead of sending your videos directly as email attachments, save them into a file sharing service like Google Drive, Dropbox, MS OneDrive, etc., and then just email your recipients a shareable link. Different email services have varying file size attachment limitations anyway, so don't bother determining what is or isn't going to transfer as an attachment, just send a link and the recipient can view, or download, the video as is.

From your standpoint, if later you're going to be editing your videos and making/adding alterations, you'll retain quality better and lose less detail when you scale down your videos than when you scale them up.
Plus, by copying your videos to an online storage service, you'll have a back up. Leaving just one copy of your videos solely on your phone is a risky matter, backups are important. For all your data actually.
