Can anyone say if the network signal strength on the S20 is better than that of the S10 models?

I've the S10 5g and I've found the signal strength to be poor. That's compared to iPhone 10, pixel 2xl and my work cat phone. All ok the same network. A lot of the time I could loose 4g and the other 3 phones would have the 4g signal. Hoping the S20 plus will be better..

It is better than my OnePlus 7 Pro. Use to only get about 40/10 at work. Now im getting 100/20

I'm wondering if you have an unlocked model. I've heard of complaints with unlocked models having less desirable results than the carrier variants, however I have not experienced any measurable diffence between my carrier branded S10 an my unlocked Note 10 and S20 Ultra.

My S10 5g was locked to EE network in the UK. I have it indicated though. I've seen a lot of posts in UK Ireland regarding S10 models having a poor network signal, even WiFi signal.
I've seen it first hand.
Really hoping the S20 plus will prove to have a decent network signal

I'm getting better signal on my S20 Ultra compared to my S10+, definitely at the gym.

Websites connect right away compared to really slow load (the more center of the gym the worse it got).

It does drop from "5G" to 4G LTE tho.

Here in the US some have reported issues with unlocked on certain carriers if I'm not mistaken. I've never noticed a real difference

Hopefully I'll have my S20+next week. I'll report back about the network strength 👍🏻

I'd expect to be based on what I remember of the S10 specs. IIRC it used an embedded modem in the SoC, but on the S20 Samsung is supposed to be using a separate dedicated modem chip.
