Android Central Question

Planning on upgrading to the S20+ or Ultra from a S9+. I know a lot will depend on whether screen is flat, but I've had a Whitestone Dome on my S9+ and love the look and feel of it.

Will this continue to be a good protector for the S20?

They do have a great track record so far, but like you say, until the phone is confirmed. Leaks point to the glass not being as curved as it is now, so it might be OK.

I will just get regular one from Amazon as this time the screen is 2.5D, it means flat screen

I'm planning on using a Whitestone Dome screen protector with the S20 Ultra.

For my S10+ I used a protector from Xtremeguard and it survived for the entire time I had it. At first I had trouble with the FBS then after awhile it seemed to be easier. Hopefully this time around they fixed some of the issues.

With the size of the Ultra I would say you could fit any average size car windscreen :-)

I'll be sticking with Whitestone. I'm on my 5th screen protector on my note 10+ bc I seem to drop this phone a lot, that combined with my tech21 case has saved my phone each time. And honestly I haven't had much bad luck with the fps with it on with my note 10+ plus, now my regular s10 I wanted to Chuck it at a wall bc the fps never worked right.

Whitestone Dome has their S20 screen protectors for sale on their site now. I bought one for the S20 Ultra last night.

The Whitestone are arguably the best glass for the older S models becsuse there doesn't seem to have been a clear alternative that could consistently make a good one for the curved glass that worked with the fps due to the liquid adhesive making any gap issues non existing.

But if the S20 will have a flatter screen close to the iPhones, then I would imagine should be less to no issue with the fps and there will be cheaper and as-good options without dealing with a hassle of the liquid on and off the screen.

The rest of my family have the latest iPhones and keep a 3 pack of Spigen glass protectors when one gets clumsy. Less than $20 I believe and optically clear and easy to slap on and pull off if needed.

It will be good for owners to have cheaper options with same quality.

Whitestone Dome....I have on my Note 10+ and never have dropped it....Other day walking at lunch, was taking phone out to take a pic and slipped out of my hands face down on asphalt..Saw a crack on protector and thought the worst...peeled dome off and not a scratch..maybe expense but worth it to me..Save me $200 since will use as tradein ;)

I agree note used to the big phone and dropped and cracked 4 protectors at least now. Plus once you make the big purchase the warranty replacement is on 10 bucks
