S20 screen won't wake on power button press

[Android Central Question]

I've had my Galaxy S20 for just over half a year now and its been working fine but for the last couple weeks I've had some trouble with the screen wake. When I press the power button to wake the screen, it usually doesn't respond. I have to press the button a bunch of times to get it to turn on and even then it takes up to 30 seconds. I've tried removing my SD card (per another android user's instructions) and it seemed to fix the problem for a few days but now it's back to doing the same thing. Plz help

Do you have it in a case? Could be shifted/ill fitting.

Make sure the power button not mapped for different function in the meantime enable double tap to wake . All these features can be found in setting>advanced features>side key or motion and gesture
